I think it is really important to check that a patient is not without their medication. I went to the pharmacy where my normal prescription has been sent for the last 5 + years to find that the prescription had been stopped. I had a text to state that the doctor wanted to see me before prescribing again. Just by chance I had booked an appointment to see my doctor who was as surprised as myself that my medication had not been prescribed and put a prescription in immediately for me.

I have been receiving care from Pall Mall Surgery for six years and have always felt that my needs were met by competent, caring staff. It puzzles me to read a negative review regarding appointments as this is one of the things I think is terrific about this surgery, and now that we can book online it is faster and more efficient. I also appreciate seeing a Nurse Practioner too, freeing up the doc's time while still receiving excellent care is a step in the right direction. I'd also like to see a user fee implemented, a fine for missed appointments, and a means test for prescription exemptions.

I have been with the surgery since 1979 .I have never had a problem getting an appointment .I would never willingly change my surgery. the doctors and the nurses are all very good. yes I have and would recommend the surgery.

Very difficult to get an appointment, even if you sign up for online appointment booking (last time I tried to book online there were NO appointments). Receptionists not helpful and want to know what the medical problem is, which they are not supposed to. When told you would rather discuss with a GP you might end up getting told that you 'would be wasting an appointment'... not good. Some of the GPs might benefit from making eye contact with the patient rather than addressing their computer screen.
